Your
large retail competition doesn't know anything about
search. Small businesses have a natural advantage
in the search game. If you learn and understand SEO
then you'll be well ahead of 90% of your competition,
including the big budget large corporation competition.
Yes, and even paid search. Continue

You only have so much budget for marketing each month.
You can't spend it all online. Spend a little
more. But how much should you spend online?
Then you can slowly increase your online marketing
budget to 50% of your total marketing budget, cutting
out those off line marketing efforts that aren't working
as well as they used to. If your total marketing
budget is $2,000 per month then start with $200 per
month as an online budget. Examine your options and
see which online marketing methods might suit your
business goals and needs. Read

architecture. Do you have the right links at the
right places, on the right pages, and to the right
pages? Are you doing any link building? PR sculpting
is a fad. It's a waste of time to follow fads.

It used to be that getting listed
in DMOZ was very important for a webmaster because
almost all of the search engines crawled DMOZ and
took information from the directory to index their
sites. Google has always relied heavily upon DMOZ
and still does. Many webmasters have quit
submitting their websites altogether. I commend
DMOZ for putting together a plan for making itself
relevant again. A link from DMOZ used to mean legitimacy
for a webmaster. Continue

Should you worry about duplicate content? The
search engines do a really good job at filtering
out duplicate content and they don't penalize
webmasters for having duplicate content. Sometimes
you might inadvertently create duplicate content
on two separate pages of your website. For
more information on duplicate content continue

Your headline should get people's attention. The
best headlines promise a benefit that you will deliver
on in the body of your content. Get the reader to
read. Headlines can take on different structures.
Promise a benefit then deliver in the body of your
